RECEPTIONIST

Nina is a classically trained Soprano. She finished her Bachelor of Music (Performance) in Classical Voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2021. She is currently studying Speech Pathology at the University of Sydney, and works at our office part time.

RECEPTIONIST

Lisa is the friendly face you will first meet and has been working at our practice for a total of 6 years.

Lisa has been in the medical field for over 20 years assisting in front desk communication. Lisa is a mother of one, she loves soccer and plays competitively.

MEDICAL SECRETARY

An extremely highly qualified medical secretary who has been a practice manager for many years . Her experience has brought up-to-date technology to Dr Coombes’ practice. Marcie is our typist with precise skills.

She is semi-retired, and looks after her grandchildren.

PRACTICE MANAGER

Our practice manager who works from home and at the office. She manages the system support, billing, and medical advice to patients. Orna monitors the emails on weekends for urgent matters. She has trained as an ICU nurse and midwife and now Urology.

ANAESTHETIST

MbChB (Dundee), DA (Lon), FRCS (Anaes) (Lon), FANZCA

Dr Fynn is a specialist anaesthetist who has been in practice in Sydney for over 20 years. She was born in Scotland and obtained her medical degree at Dundee University. She was recruited by the NSW Department of Health and came to Sydney where she completed her Australian fellowship in anaesthesia (FANZCA) in 1999, in addition to her British fellowship (FRCA).

She has special interests in women's health, urology and ophthalmic surgery and strives to provide safe, caring, holistic health care in the perioperative setting. She is an adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame, Australia and is a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists and the Day Case Anaesthesia Special Interest Group. She has full specialist registration with the NSW Medical Board.

ANAESTHETIST

Dr Robyn Smiles is a Senior Anaesthetist working in the Lower North Shore in Sydney. She has enjoyed working with Dr Coombes now for over 25 years. Her special interests include urology, head and neck surgery and robotic surgery.

Outside work she loves being a mum, keeping fit and playing her French horn.

ASSISTANT

I have been in nursing for 18 years, having started as an enrolled nurse before studying to become a registered nurse and then completing a Masters of Advanced Clinical Practice. I have been assisting in surgery for the last 8 years.

I assist in many surgical fields including urology, gynaecology, and cardiac surgery. I have specialised in robotic assisting, having assisted with over a thousand cases.

I have been working with Dr Coombes for the last 7 years, during which time our team has become like a family.
